Southern Exposure 5: Wanderlust
8x8" 24 pages

“
To belong nowhere is a blessing and a curse, like any kind of freedom.”
Issue 5 of Southern Exposure deals with, race and the great outdoors, and the problematic history of US National Parks System. The essays in Issue 5 deal with with how the stereotypes surrounding Black people and nature are in part forged by a history of racist policy and ideologies espoused by founding members of the conservationist movement. Featuring landscapes from the American west, Wanderlust explores the connection between identity and wild spaces.
